The Role

As a trusted strategic and commercial adviser to the Government, Defence and National Intelligence sector, McR Defence’s commercial and strategic managers advise on procurement, contract, policy and the commercial acquisition for some of the most complex technology and warfighter platforms that Defence and Defence Industry has ever introduced into service. As we continue to establish a niche service offering, McR Defence is looking for Commercial Management experts to some of the most innovative and unseen "one of a kind” capabilities.

As we continue to establish a niche service offering, McR Defence is looking for Commercial Management experts to some of the most innovative and unseen "one of a kind” capabilities.

The Requirement

You will be supporting the growth of defence industry SME’s and their products as well as providing advise on the commercial and probity issues through the acquisition lifecycle. To be successful in this role, the following skills and experience are essential:

  • Demonstrated skilled and experience in using ASDEFCON template suites.
  • Strong Defence, CASG or Defence Industry experience (LAND, Maritime, AIR domains).
  • Good understanding of commercial and strategic drivers including corporate relationships and interdependencies.
  • Ability to develop, interpret and apply complex contract terms and conditions with performance-based contracts including global supply chains security performance implications.
  • ITAR advice and preparation of related compliance documents – including DCS.
  • Internal Audit Preparation.
  • Import/Export Procurement.

About You

Candidates must be Australian citizens and hold an active AGSVA NV1 security clearance or above.   We are recruiting in multiple locations - Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and Sydney.
